The Promotion Action section is where you will identify the discount that is triggered once the rules are met.
Similar to the Promotion Rules, click the next tab in line called Promotion Actions. You can see this name by hovering the mouse over the icon.
Then on the “+” button to select the desired action.
Choose from DISCOUNT ON MATCHED PRODUCTS, DISCOUNT ON OTHER PRODUCTS or PRODUCT SPECIFIC DISCOUNT then choose the amounts as designated with colored writing in blue or red, don’t forget to click the blue check mark to save setting.
DISCOUNT ON MATCHED ITEMS: Use this if there is a bulk discount or specific total sale when the rules are met.
- Choose between: fixed $, % off, or $ off by clicking on “Select Value” and click the check mark.
- Click on “Enter Number” to assign the promotion value and click the check mark.
DISCOUNT ON OTHER PRODUCTS: Use this if the discount is on another product not used in the promotion actions. Choose criteria as described and hit check mark to save setting.
- Choose between: fixed $, % off, or $ off by clicking on “Select Value” and click the check mark.
- Click on “Enter Number” to assign the promotion value and click the check mark.
- Select the “Total Qty” of items that will be discounted and click the check mark. Example: discount is on 2 hot dogs, the third if purchased in the same transaction will not be discounted.
- Enter the “Promoted Products”. These are the products that will be discounted and then click the check mark.
PRODUCT SPECIFIC DISCOUNT: Use this to assign specific discount on a single or group of products.
Enter the products for the discount using the same method as entering the items in promotion actions.
Example: If the promotion actions are met, the customer gets Bud 12 pack for $6.99 and a Miller 15 pack for $7.99.
